Your account

- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
Listings and other content you publish
You are responsible for everything you post, including business listings, products, services, jobs, properties, classifieds, events, deals, articles, videos, reviews and forum posts.
- It must be accurate, lawful and yours to publish.
- You keep ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize and share it on the site and in promoting the site, for as long as it stays published.
- We may review content before or after it appears, and may edit formatting or decline, hide or remove content that breaks these terms.
Reviews
Reviews must describe a real experience. Do not post reviews of your own business, pay or reward anyone for a review, or post a review to harm a competitor. We may remove reviews that break these rules.
Things you must not do
- Post anything false, misleading, hateful, abusive, obscene or illegal.
- Copy content from the site in bulk, or use bots or scrapers without our written permission.
- Send spam or collect other users' contact details to market to them.
- Pretend to be another person or business, or claim a business you do not represent.
- Try to break, overload or get around the security of the site.
Claims and verification
If you claim a business or apply for a verification badge, you must give true information and genuine documents. A badge means we checked the details you gave at that time. It is not an endorsement or a guarantee of quality, and we may remove it if the details stop being correct.
Paid services and payments
Some features are paid, such as promoted placement, advertising and quotations. The price is shown before you pay. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers. Taxes are added where they apply. Refunds are given where stated at the time of purchase or where the law requires. If something went wrong with a payment, contact us.
Dealing with other users
Popular Business is a directory and marketplace. Unless we clearly say otherwise, we are not a party to any deal between you and a business, seller, employer, landlord, buyer or service provider. Check details yourself before you pay, travel or sign anything. Any dispute about a deal is between you and the other person.
Suspension and removal
We may limit, suspend or close an account, or remove content, if these terms are broken, if we are required to by law, or to protect users or the site. You can ask us to close your account at any time.
Our content and brand
The site's design, software, name and logo belong to Popular Business or its licensors. You may not use them without our written permission.
Links to other websites
Listings and articles may link to other websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
No guarantees
The site is provided "as is". We work to keep information accurate and the service available, but we do not promise that listings are correct or complete, or that the site will always be available or free of errors.
Limit of our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from dealings between users. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.
Your responsibility to us
If your content or your breach of these terms leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be handled by the courts that have jurisdiction over our registered office, unless the law gives you the right to use another court.
